Dress, Ethical Superstore. Tights, Uniqlo. Shoes, New Look. Jumper, free at a 'free stuff fair' at my uni. Necklace, dk. Earrings, Forever 21.
I've been trying to cheer myself up with clothes recently. I've bought a few new things, which I shall show you eventually, and I'm starting to like the bubble I create by looking (even just a little) different again. It's taken me all term. (September till now.)
Now a bit of tmi and de-stigmatising mental illness. I've been diagnosed with depression, which wasn't very helpful as I thought that was kind of obvious, but doctor's like to have stuff on record. They asked me if I'd ever been depressed before and I said yes. Was it on record? No. Well then, you haven't. Anyway, it makes it a big deal actually doing any work, let alone anything creative. Hopefully over Christmas I'll have a bit more time and feel a bit more myself, and can pick up blogging properly again.
Till then, happy holidays for when you finally get off school/uni/work/life chores.

We so need a "free stuff fair" at my college! Free stuff is the best.
ReplyDeleteI hope you feel better soon too, and have a good christmas and get your creative energy back! xx
Hurray for de-stigmatizing! (I find it a bit rude that they consider depression irrelevant if it wasn't on record, but I guess that's how healthcare works...) Anyway, I don't know if putting a medical label on it has helped or made it worse for you, but I'm glad you're feeling more sartorially adventurous (I am fond of the cape-shawl thing you have going on), and I also hope you are feeling more yourself soon.
ReplyDeleteCute and comfy! I like it, so chic! =)
